The UN Secretary-General established the High-Level Panel on Women’s Economic Empowerment (HLP) in January 2016 as part of his efforts to ensure that the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development moves from the pages of UN documents into the lives of women, and builds stronger, more inclusive economies. The HLP aims to accelerate realizations of the Sustainable Development Goals. However, everyone needs to do their part: governments, businesses, and civil society.
